***This event is dependent upon good weather conditions, so please check back a day ahead of time to make sure it will work for this date. We'll postpone in the event of rain or high winds.*** Pine tar clinic & season refresh for wooden skis! We will meet at the chalet following the Charlie Brown Christmas Tree event. What you need to bring: your wooden skis with the bases scraped of all residue wax, leather (not synthetic) work gloves, and safety glasses. What to bring if you have it: pine tar with a small brush, a plumbing torch w/ propane canister, and cotton (NOT synthetic) rags. I have some extra to share if anyone doesn't have some of these materials. We'll pine tar our wooden skis & talk about best waxing techniques in anticipation of the upcoming ski season! If the snow is deep enough, maybe we can even take the skis for a short tour afterwards. SnoPark permit required in the parking lot (park in Lower Selkirk SnoPark and walk down the chalet driveway to meet the group).
