Note: This trip is cancelled due to fire concerns and unhealthy air quality. This trip involves a long but superb backpacking adventure into a remote and strikingly beautiful part of the magnificent Bob Marshall Wilderness of Montana. The North Wall Loop is arguably even grander than the Bob's more famous Chinese Wall. It affords immense vistas of beautiful alpine lakes and mountain peaks. The loop covers 76-80 miles with at least 15000 ft cumulative gain. Please note that the first and last day of the trip will include ~ 6.5 hours of driving to the trailhead and back to Spokane, respectively. Average hiking distance for Days 2-5 will be 13-17 miles. Detailed itinerary will be available to the participants later. Grizzlies have been known to be active in the wilderness, please carry your bear spray; food storage guidelines should be strictly complied. Group size is 8 - we are currently half full so there are 4 remaining spots. This is a very strenuous 6-day backpacking trip for experienced hikers who have had multiday backpacking experiences with 12-15 miles per day. Driving distance: ~390 miles and 6.5 hours from Spokane to the trailhead (N47 50.852’, W112 46.951’). Please contact trip leaders if you are interested or have questions (717-370-1910 for Shuwen, 509-270-8236 for Tyler).
