Meet at the hairpin turn SnoPark lot at the Lower Mount Kit Carson Loop Road for this more difficult snowshoe loop. We'll do the "Christmas Tree" for Winter Solstice: a loop route that ascends via trail 110 & descends via trail 140, using the Mount Kit Carson Loop Road to complete the loop. If it's a clear sunny day, we'll tack on one of the summits (either Mt. Kit Carson or Day Mountain, depending upon group preference) as an extra out & back on the main loop. This trip is considered more difficult due to elevation gain. This hike is open to friendly dogs (leash required, and owners must pick up after their pets). This route may be modified in the event there is insufficient snow for a snowshoe hike. A SnoPark permit is required for Mount Spokane State Park parking lots during the winter season.
