Since the 2015 forest fires at the Indian Painted Rocks, dead trees have been falling with every wind so State Parks has had a crew in this week to fell all the potential hazard trees. Their crew will fell and buck up the logs, so our job will be to remove the sections, rounds, and debris off the trail. Wear long pants and sturdy shoes, and bring gloves, sun or safety glasses, water, and clothes for the weather. I'm not sure how long we'll take so probably bring either a lunch or snacks. The Mountaineers will provide tools and other safety gear. If interested, sign up here or e-mail Lynn Smith Thanks!
