This 9-mile hike over 2040 ft takes us to a rewarding lake near Sandpoint. We'll enjoy amazing fall colors as we make our way up to the peaceful lake. If we have good weather and it has maintained warmth, we might take a quick dive to cool off. Although there are options for camping and a bear vault, this is a one-day hike. Bring plenty of mosquito repellent and good spirits. We'll likely have dinner somewhere in Sandpoint before returning home. This is a moderate to difficult hike. Feel free to contact me with questions. Note: Leave time is at 8am, please arrive 15 minutes earlier. The drive to the trail-head is at least 2.5 hours.
