Spokane Nordic needs our help again this weekend!

  • Three additional opportunities to help clear the Nordic trail system!  Since the Park will be unable to groom the Nordic trail system until the trees are cleared from the route, Spokane Nordic has arranged three additional work parties for the Thanksgiving weekend.  Please consider joining at least one of the following: 
     
    Friday Nov 27 (Crew Leader: Todd Dunfield) Meet at 8:00 AM Selkirk Lodge, please bring chainsaws, gas/oil and ALL Personal Protective Equipment (Hard Hat, Gloves, Ear & Eye protection, Chainsaw Chaps) Additional volunteers needed to help move debris and limbs off the trails while chainsaws move ahead and cut. Be prepared for cold weather and lots of hiking with tools.
     
    Saturday Nov 28 Crew Leader: Sam Schlieder) meet at 8:00 AM Selkirk Lodge, please bring chainsaws, gas/oil and ALL Personal Protective Equipment (Hard Hat, Gloves, Ear & Eye protection, Chainsaw Chaps)  Additional volunteers needed to help move debris and limbs off the trails while chainsaws move ahead and cut.

    All the trails from Selkirk, to Junction 1, to Junction 2 and to Junction 3 (Nova hut) have been cut.  (the only exception may be Sam's Swoop...

    2. Raven Glide
    3. Shady Way
    4. Shadow Mountain
    5. Twin Lakes
    6. Buckland/Quartz Mountain
    As always our priorities are: BE SAFE, Have Fun, get some work done.
